Stereograms

Yes – it’s those pictures where you half-cross your eyes and peer at the screen. Technically speaking, these are Single Image Random Dot Stereograms (SIRDS).

Some people can see them, and some can’t. If you’re one of the lucky ones (or if you want to practise), then here are some examples:
